With joint efforts of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, GIZ DKTI project, and other local institutions and organisations, cities and municipalities throughout Serbia participated in the celebration of the World Energy Efficiency Day. The focus of the 2019 event was on primary school students who joined the competition in a social board game „Play for energy“, developed through Serbian-German partnership GIZ DKTI project.
The focus on children intends to build up knowledge about energy efficiency and behavior habits from early years. Positive effects are also expected from participants’ influence on their peers, family members and other citizens.
The city officials expressed their satisfaction with the reaction and interest of schools, the participation of students and their enviable knowledge about energy efficiency.
